Village Square and Depot Park

Hammondsport, NY

Seaplane Homecoming: A tribute to Glenn H. Curtiss who made flying on and off the water a reality.

Since 2003, the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum and dedicated volunteers have held the “Seaplane Homecoming” each fall on Keuka Lake, where Curtiss made some of his greatest contributions to aviation. In the early 1900’s it took bravery, ingenuity and cunning to do what he did. Thanks to the generosity of the owner/pilots, a wide variety of Seaplanes will gather at Depot Park. Get up close to the aircraft and talk with the pilots owners. Learn a great deal about why water flying is so satisfying and exciting.

Seaplane Registration Information

All Seaplanes are required to pre-register before the event. There is no registration fee for seaplanes. Each registered seaplane will receive a “windshield card” and will be parked at the head of the lake at Depot Park. Each arriving seaplane pilot and 1 (one) co-pilot will receive a complimentary ticket to the Meet the Pilot’s Dinner.
