As Giving Day comes to a close, we want to extend our deepest and sincerest thanks to everyone who participated, shared our mission, and offered support in any form. Your generosity and encouragement mean more to us than we can express.
We are especially grateful to the Mercury Aircraft Foundation and the Meade Foundation for their generous matching gift, which helped amplify the impact of every donation. Their support, and yours, has made this Giving Day truly extraordinary.
Because of this collective generosity, the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum can continue preserving Glenn Curtiss’s remarkable legacy, inspiring young learners, strengthening our community, and advancing toward an exciting future that includes Smithsonian affiliation and expanded access to our collection.
Whether you made a gift, helped spread the word, or simply cheered us on, please know that you made a meaningful difference. We are humbled and inspired by the kindness of this community.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us take flight.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Curtiss Museum Staff
On Giving Tuesday, December 2, we invite you to support the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum. Thanks to the generosity of the Mercury Aircraft Foundation and the Meade Foundation, every gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000, doubling your impact. No gift is too small!
For more than 63 years, the Curtiss Museum has preserved the extraordinary legacy of aviation pioneer Glenn H. Curtiss, connecting early innovation to the achievements that continue shaping our world today!
2025 was a big year for us!
- Welcomed over 23,000 guests into our museum.
- Worked with over 50 K-12 classrooms.
- Hosted over 22 special events for our community: Motorcycle Therapy, Wings & Wheels, Live Music, Halloween Party, and more!
- Committed to offering pay-what-you-wish on family days.
- Finished installation of a brand new roof, HVAC, and parking lot.
- We were awarded a distinction for historic importance in early aviation from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
- Conducted groundbreaking research that has been featured at Oshkosh AirVenture and by the Smithsonian.
- Collaborated on a Learning Lab at Cornell University to inspire the next generation of aerospace engineers.
- Co-curated an exhibition with Boeing and NASA!
And for 2026, we are excited to share that the museum is actively moving towards applying for Smithsonian affiliation, allowing us to open the door to richer collaborations, world-class resources, and even more exceptional exhibitions and educational opportunities.
And in 2026, we’ll begin digitizing our collection, making photographs, documents, artifacts, and stories accessible from anywhere and bringing the Curtiss legacy to an even wider audience.
Your support on Giving Tuesday fuels these initiatives and much more! Help us as we build the next 60-year legacy of the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum!
Thank you for helping us take flight.
